Titill:

Bullying and substance use among adolescents seems to co-occurrence at some point. These are to social problems that concerns society as a whole. Young people are the future
and it’s important to guarantee save environment for them to grow up in. If an adolescent gets either bullied or addicted to substance use their risk increases for trouble or risk behavior as
they grow up. Data from the Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HBSC) survey were used to find out how strong or weak the correlation between bullying and substance use were
within Icelandic adolescents in the 10th grade 2013/14. Altogether 3.618 students from schools across the country participated. The results show rather clear correlation between bullying behavior and substance use, both among those who bully and are bullied.
Nevertheless is the association between those who bully and substance use stronger than the relationship between substance use and those who are bullied. Therefore results of this study
support the hypothesis about correlation between bullying and substance use among adolescents. They also support the importance of taking good care of the youth as mentioned before.
