  • Í þessari lokagreinargerð fjalla ég um mitt persónulega sköpunarferli í útskriftarverkefni leikarabrautar Listaháskóla Íslands 2018, Aðfaranótt eftir Kristján Þórð Hrafnson í leikstjórn Unu Þorleifsdóttur. Ég fjalla um persónusköpun og þær leiktúlkunaraðferðir sem nýttust mér best í ferlinu, þar ber helst að nefna kerfi Stanislavskis og Michaels Chekhovs. Ég geri grein fyrir mikilvægi greiningarvinnunnar, sem er undirstöðuatriði í kerfi Stanislavskis, að finna undirtextann og bogann í ferðalagi persónunnar Vigdísar í gegnum verkið Aðfaranótt. Þá fjalla ég um líkömnun persónunnar í gegnum persónusköpunaraðferðir Michaels Chekhovs, að aðgreina mig frá persónunni, að finna það sem ég á sameiginlegt með henni og það sem ég á ekki sameiginlegt með henni. Einnig fjalla ég um ímyndaða líkamann (e. imaginary body) og ímyndaða miðju (e. imaginary center). Ég fjalla um ferðalag persónunnar og leitina að blæbrigðum í persónu sem ég átti erfitt með að samsama með og mikilvægi þess að finna til samsömunar með persónu sem hefur virkni illmennisins (eða „tíkarinnar“) og skapa þannig dínamíska og trúverðuga persónu. Ég fjalla jafnframt um þá lærdóma sem ég dró af æfingarferlinu sjálfu og mikilvægi textavinnu. Að lokum geri ég grein fyrir sýningaferlinu, hvernig það var að mæta áhorfendum og hvernig ég undirbjó mig fyrir sýningu sem krefst mikillar athygli og líkamlegs úthalds. Helstu heimildir eru úr bókunum To the Actor eftir Michael Chekhov og Approaches to Acting: Past and present eftir Daniel Meyer-Dinkgräfe.

  • Útdráttur er á ensku

In this essay I write about my personal creative process in rehersing the play Aðfaranótt by Kristján Þórður Hrafnsson directed by Una Þorleifsdóttir, the graduation project from the Actors B.A. course of The Iceland Achademy of the Arts. I write about characterization and the methods I used in the process; Stanislavski’s system and Michael Chekhov’s methods of characterisation. I write about the first step in Stanislavskis System, the importance of analizing the play, finding the subtext of the play and the function of my character, Vigdís. I also write about the characterization methods of Michael Chekhov, that is seperating myself from the character, finding what I have in common with my character and what I do not. I write about the imaginary body and the imaginary center, also originating in Michael Chekhov’s methods of characterization. I go through the process of finding the journey of the character, Vigdís, and the process of finding ways to relate and sympathize with an unlikable character who functions as the villain (or „the bitch“) of the play and by that created a dynamic and credible character. I also touch on some of the new discoverys I made in the process and the importance of text work. Finally I write about the run, meeting the audience and my methods of keeping up the energy in a play that demands full focus, energy and physical fitness. Main sources come from Michael Chekhov’s book To the Actor and Daniel Meyer-Dinkgräfe’s Approaches to Acting: Past and present.
