Kraftmiklar kynningar : kennsluvefur fyrir kennara og nemendur á mið- og unglingastigi grunnskóla.

Abstract

Vefurinn Kraftmiklar kynningar ásamt greinargerð sem hér fylgir er 30 eininga (ECTS) lokaverkefni til M.Ed.-prófs á Menntavísindasviði Háskóla Íslands. Verkefnið skiptist í annars vegar kennsluvef þar sem nemendur og kennarar geta á einfaldan hátt sótt sér efni til að styðjast við þegar þeir fást við gerð skjákynninga í námi og starfi (20 ECTS) og hins vegar greinargerð þar sem fræðilegum stoðum er rennt undir verkefnið (10 ECTS). Kennsluvefurinn er byggður upp þannig að hann nýtist nemendum einn og sér en einnig þannig að kennarar geta nýtt sér hann og ætlað nemendum sínum að útbúa kynningar án þess að kennarar þurfi að bæta við sig miklum undirbúningi. Á vefnum er meðal annars að finna verkefnalýsingar sem gætu hentað þegar leggja á fyrir einstaklings-, para- og hópverkefni þar sem reynir á efnisgerð af þessu tagi en líka sniðugar leiðir við að skipta í hópa, glíma við upplýsingaöflun og fást við námsmat. Einnig er að finna á vefnum hagnýtar upplýsingar um opinn og veflægan hugbúnað sem hægt er að nota við gerð kynninga. Að lokum er hægt að skoða á vefnum efni sem tengist framsögn, gerð kynninga og flutningi á þeim.Greinargerðin lýsir hugmyndum að baki vefnum og gildi hans fyrir skólastarf í fræðilegu ljósi. Sérstakri athygli er beint að aðalnámskrá grunnskóla og þeim áherslum sem þar eru lagðar á grunnþætti menntunar, einkum sköpun og læsi í víðum skilningi en líka virka þátttöku allra í lýðræðissamfélagi. Fjallað er um tilgang með gerð kennsluvefsins, námsefnisgerð, upplýsingatækni í skólastarfi og fleira sem höfundur taldi nauðsynlegt að gera einhver skil. Hugmyndum að efninu á vefnum var safnað í leiðöngrum um Veraldarvefinn og var allur hugbúnaður prófaður af höfundi áður en hann var birtur. Markmiðið er að vefurinn nýtist nemendum og kennurum á vettvangi skólastarfs og að hann verði tól sem auðvelt er að grípa í þegar svo ber undir innan skóla sem utan. Flutningur og gerð kynninga af hálfu nemenda ættu að vera fastur hluti af skólastarfi og upplýsingatækni blandast inn í allt nám. Því er það von höfundar að með greinargerð og vef megi efla báða þessa þætti.

The website Powerful Presentations – An Educational Website for Teachers and Students at the Primary and Lower Secondary School Level and the following report make up a 30 ECTS final project for a M.Ed.-degree in the University of Iceland. The project is divided in two, on one hand there is an educational website where students and teachers can in a simple way learn how to make good presentations (20 ECTS) and on the other there is this report where the educational website gets its’ academic support (10 ECTS). The educational website is structured so that it is useful to both students and teachers. The goal is that students can use it on their own and that the teachers can use presentations in their teaching without having to add much preparation in their work. On the website you can find, among other things, project descriptions that are suitable for groupwork, couples work and single work, clever ways to put students in groups, how to gather material for the presentation and evaluation papers. Also available on the website you can find practical information about open software to use when making presentations. Finally, you can view content regarding speaking and presenting. The report describes the ideas behind the website and it’s academic value for schools. A lot of emphasis is put on the Icelandic curriculum and how it shapes the material. The purpose of the website, the making of educational material, information technology in school and more that the author considered was important is discussed. The ideas on the website were gathered through surfing the Internet and all the software was tested by the author before it was published. The goal is that the website will be useful to students and teachers in the school platform and that it will be a tool that is easy to grab when needed. Making and performing presentations should be a big part of school and information technology should be mixed in all studies. The author hopes that with this project those aspects will be reinforced.
