SEVERO SARDUY Y LA TEORÍA DEL NEOBARROCO

Abstract

Nuestro trabajo busca realizar una aproximación al método neobarroco propuesto por el escritor cubano Severo Sarduy en el marco de los estudios sobre el neobarroco que se iniciaron en el ámbito hispánico a principios del siglo XX y que se extendieron, en las décadas del sesenta y el setenta, al ámbito latinoamericano. Realizaremos un acercamiento a los sustentos ideológicos y semióticos del la teoría neobarroca de Sarduy, así como un análisis de los mecanismos que componen el método neobarroco, tomando como ejemplo la novela De donde son los cantantes.

This work is intended as an approach of the neo-baroque method proposed by the Cuban writer Severo Sarduy in the context of the neo-baroque studies that began in the Hispanic domain at the beginning of the 20th century and which were continued in the 60s and 70s in the Latin American sphere. We will address the ideological and semiotic foundation of Sarduy’s theory, as well as providing an analysis of its mechanisms, taking the novel De donde son los cantantes as an example.
