The aim of this research is to determine the business value of implementing Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) and how that value is measured. This entails investigating what business value objectives have been discovered, what key barriers to implementing BI&A systems have been identified, and how management can measure the business value generated from such implementation. Based on the review of the literature on Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, and their business values, a case study analysis was carried out at Eimskip, an international logistics organization who implemented a BI&A system in 2018 under the name Forwarding Transformation Project. The case study, which relied on focused interviews with relevant interviewees, revealed that they have seen increases in productivity in those offices that have implemented the system, although their methodology for measuring the business value from this project proved to be vague. The findings indicate that the human element has a substantial impact on whether or not a BI&A implementation is successful. The manager's positive attitude toward the system has been identified as an influential element in propelling such project ahead.
