The text dissects in a lyrical manor the elements water, wind, and light, that are at the heart of Tevajärvi’s graduation work, titled “What of winds, waters, rthythms and circulations”. Their shared quality of transparency, of unseen, that is yet bodily familiar and felt, is discussed through an esoteric lens. The metaphysical principal of “as above, so below” from the The Emerald Tablet of Hermes, Riane Eisler’s book the Chalise and the Blade, Our History, Our Future and Sefer Yetzirah: the Book of Creation in Aryeh Kaplan’s translation, are related to the installation, its contents, its placements and its performative qualities. Circulation, the microscopic and the macroscopic, and the breaking of things are further important pieces of the puzzle.
