We used a multiple baseline across participants design to evaluate the effects of teaching precursors such as stop + look, on latency, duration, and problem behavior during transitions with preschool children. After teaching each student the stop + look skill over a period of two days using Behavior Skills Training (BST), we observed a decrease in transition duration for all participants. For two of the three participants, there was a decrease in task initiation latency and problem behavior after the intervention.
