    This study aimed to continue development, improve design, and evaluate a mobile app and digital platform, with the purpose of collecting patient generated health data for research on children’s PFAPA syndrome. The app was tested for usability, functionality, and clinical viability through a combination of AttrakDiff and System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaires. Medical experts provided qualitative feedback for both systems. The results demonstrated that the app was well-received by users, scoring high in pragmatic quality and attractiveness in the AttrakDiff questionnaire, and achieving an above-average SUS score of 76.25/100. However, lower scores in the hedonic quality dimensions indicated room for improvement in user engagement and enjoyment. Medical expert feedback led to refinements in the app's clinical usefulness and data integrity, ensuring that it meets the expectations of target users and adheres to research standards for user anonymity. Finally, we present several design guidelines to follow when designing and developing software for patient generated health data.
