Do we need to sacrifice Icelandic landscapes in the fight against climate change?
Concrete is the second most used material in the world, as the cement industry is considered responsible for 8% of carbon dioxide emissions. Tuff is compressed volcanic ash that can be used to lower carbon emissions in cement production.
Litla Sandfell is a tuff-mountain that will possibly be mined for tuff and shipped abroad. Can shipping mountains be considered an environmentally friendly action?
The project is a monument to Litla Sandfell and the possible fate of so many mountains. It is also a reminder of the need for more sustainable solutions and further advancements to protect the
    environment.
