My Six Strangers

Abstract

The collection is a snapshot of a six random individuals, walking down a random road. Meant to somewhat reflect the language that lives in large cities between what people were and how that communicates different cultures. The collection is meant to focus on creating six portraits of the most unlikely individuals, to then create a form of beauty through their mundane contrasts. In the process, these six individuals became an extension of my self when finding the means to express their personality through graphics. I focused on the medium of graphics on clothing to express the lives of each through recognisable imagery. Inspired by tattoos, and their effects to create texture on the surface of the wearer, all graphics were designed with movement and garments in mind.
