This paper elaborates on research done during the making of the authors graduation performance 'my house eats itself'. Going through how uncanny sensations can be a place to discover unknown ideas and connections to non-human beings. The uncanny as an uncomfortable quality of sensation might be a reason for these connections to remain unexplored. The research stems from Sigmund Freud's words on the uncanny, here explored in relation to Jane Bennetts’ Vibrant Matter, Frida Klingbergs Master of Fine Arts thesis Save the Crab louse, André Lepeckis’ Singularities and Floriaan Cramer's words made flesh. They offer perspectives of object oriented ontology, hated species, exploration of darkness and the relation between code and magic. The aim is to offer new ideas of non-human and how to live together rather than apart.
