Leikritið Raddþjófnaðurinn og þrjár sögur

Abstract

Verkefni þetta er lokaverkefni til meistaraprófs í ritlist við Háskóla Íslands. Það hefur að geyma leikritið Raddþjófnaðurinn og þrjár sögur: smásögurnar „Marr“ og „Bláa taskan“ og sannsöguna „Ekki koma til Aþenu“. Það innifelur jafnframt tvær greinargerðir, aðra um leikritið og hina um sögurnar. Í öllum verkunum leysast mörk einstaklings og umhverfis upp og niðurbældar raddir finna sér nýja farvegi.

This is a final project for the MA degree in Creative Writing at the University of Iceland. It consists of the theatrical play Voice Theft; three narratives—the short stories “The Creak” and “The Blue Suitcase,” as well as a work of creative non-fiction titled “Do Not Come to Athens.” The project also includes two essays, one accompanying the play and the other addressing the narratives. All the works explore and dissolve the boundaries between the individual and their environment, while silenced voices seek new channels for expression.
